Teen Screen America

A Heart for Sports is a leader in what we do, having screened thousands of young people. This however, is not enough. On numerous occasions parents and organizations across the country have contacted us requesting screenings in their communities. Our challenge has been expanding our outreach to satisfy the needs of those communities. To better satisfy those needs, it is the goal of AHFS to translate our experience into a national program tailored for hospitals and the areas of which they serve. A Heart for Sports is proud to introduce Teen Screen America.

What is Teen Screen America?

Our objective is to partner with hospitals across the country to engage in a national screening program entitled Teen Screen America. Through the Teen Screen America membership program, hospitals will be provided with all the necessary tools to host their own cardiac screenings for young people in their community. The program is designed to be flexible and modified to accommodate a hospital's particular needs.

Why hold a cardiac screening program?

Is an excellent way to capture an untapped market with potential for high media exposure. Cardiac screening programs serve as a community-driven, mission focused and revenue enhancing marketing tactic for hospitals. Preventative cardiac screenings enhance hospital recognition and may increase new patient referral volume and generate downstream revenue. The screenings provide an excellent opportunity to introduce their facility and services to their community all while providing peace of mind to young people and their parents.

Where should the cardiac screening be held?

Ideally, the screening will be held in the member's hospital, or at a site that is convenient for people to attend and large enough to accommodate all who sign up, such as an outpatient clinic or community center.

How Much Does a Membership Cost?

The cost of a membership is $500 for one year. The membership may be considered tax deductible, however you should first consult with your tax professional.

What costs will my hospital incur staging a screening program?

Excluding the $500 per site program enrollment fee, the hospital will have costs ranging from $1300 to $2300 however; these costs can greatly reduced by volunteer technicians and donated materials.
